Job description: The RoleReporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Vice President of Operations will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the safety and efficiency of our client’s facility.You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the successful execution of disassembly projects.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the aircraft disassembly business unit.
  • Oversee all operational activities, including project planning, resource allocation, and execution.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, local authorities and other key stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback as needed.
  • Drive business growth and profitability through effective resource management and business development initiatives.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Monitor industry trends and developments, identifying opportunities for innovation and expansion.

The PersonThe ideal candidate will have a track record of operational safety, revenue efficiency and leadership in an MRO environment. The person should also possess excellent project management and communication skills.

  • Strong background and expertise in the aviation industry, with specific knowledge of aircraft disassembly, maintenance, and storage processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance requirements, including environmental and safety regulations. Ensure that all operations meet regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects and programs, from planning and resource allocation to execution and monitoring. Experience with large-scale disassembly projects and facility management is beneficial.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service to customers and maintaining strong relationships.
  • A strategic and critical thinker, able to identify root causes and remedy appropriately
  • Resilient with the ability to work well under pressure and with strong organizational and time management skills.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate/Graduate level Business, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or other related area
  • Valid A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) license.
  • Relevant OSHA certification/standards
  • Strong MS Office skillset
