Job description: The Senior Procurement Manager – Food Ingredients will be responsible for overseeing the procurement of all food ingredients necessary for the production of our products. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, deep knowledge of the food ingredient market, and the ability to manage supplier relationships to ensure the highest quality at the best possible cost. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement within the food and beverage industry and a passion for excellence.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing food ingredients that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new product developments in the food ingredients sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains and foster long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure ingredients meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring financial targets are met.

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of food ingredients, including market trends, sourcing practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
