Home State Bank is hiring a Compliance & CRA/Fair Lending Officer in Crystal Lake, IL. This is a full-time position. The Compliance & CRA/Fair Lending Officer assists the Sr. Compliance Officer to identify and manage regulatory risk and implement an effective Compliance Program. The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA)/Fair Lending Officer is responsible for helping, in conjunction with department leaders, to identify loan, service and investment opportunities and activities that will implement and execute the CRA regulations. The CRA/Fair Lending Officer, in consultation with the Fair Lending Committee, is responsible for developing and overseeing a Fair Lending Compliance Program that implements the Fair Lending Policy, meets the requirements of Fair Lending Laws, and encourages internal controls for identifying, escalating, and mitigating fair lending risk. On a periodic basis, the CRA/Fair Lending Officer reviews, analyzes, and reports information that will assist departments to adjust their efforts as needed to meet the Bank’s performance goals and strategies. This position is on-site and is not a remote position. Looking for local candidates as this position doesn’t have relocation available.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of compliance experience
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Must be willing to attend educational opportunities (conferences, seminars, webinars etc), as needed.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to lending including, but not limited to, CRA, ECOA/Reg B, FHA, HMDA, UDAP/UDAAP, TILA, and FEMA’s flood hazard insurance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Teams and SharePoint is preferred. Knowledge of Loan Origination Software and the HMDA/CRA analysis products is a plus.
