Job description: Who we are looking for.The ideal candidate is a problem solver that thrives on deadlines and is comfortable building Excel based controls, managing a staff in multiple locations, and communicating with clients. You will be expected to manage multiple strategic projects and client relationships while simultaneously providing tactical support to the Assistant Vice President to achieve excellent service standards of the collateral management function. A background in collateral management is strongly preferred and an in-depth understanding of State Street’s middle office systems such as GTM, RKS, CMW, and Colline would be ideal.Why this role is important to us.The team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Services (SSGS). SSGS gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, SSGS’ tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.What you will be responsible forAs Collateral Management Officer:Work with a team of 4-5 team members that are responsible for converting client requirements into a standardized collateral operating model.Communicate with current clients about static data requirements, data transfer protocols, and general collateral management processes.Test collateral code changes on regular basis.Develops expertise in the use of our multiple collateral system applications and assists staff in advancing their own skills.Validate and review daily activity while maintaining all required controls.Interprets client needs and works to meet those needs offering assistance and advice on standard practical issues and non-standard tasks or queries.Works independently and with the team to establish firm and well-tested controls and procedures.Lead State Street Collateral Management project and initiatives.What we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this role.Ability to organize complex data into digestible ideas.Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously with deliverables to different parties.Self-Starting, meticulous and detail oriented.Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.Education & Preferred QualificationsCollege Degree strongly preferred.2 -5 years of experienceStrong Excel skills, experience with collateral management systems is strongly preferred.About State StreetWhat we do.
