Job description: Associate Management Consultant, Business AnalystOur consultancy is looking for highly motivated and talented Consultant, Business Analysts. Experience working at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or other government agencies is preferred.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders, be they customers or end users.
  • Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via meetings, questionnaires, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.
  • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Extremely detail-oriented. Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
  • Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
  • Develops and conducts peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
  • Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options and communicating these back to the business stakeholders.
  • Communicates changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Provides guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
  • Creation of presentations and reports for clients based upon analysis findings including recommendations for short- and long-term improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of people, process and technology roadmaps for customer service transformation.
  • Review of subjective and objective operational information through a process of management interviews.
  • Facilitate client workshops and interviews to better understand, define and document requirements.
  • Write user stories and use cases to document the requirements uncovered during workshops and interviews with clients.
  • Analysis of client financial and operational data.
  • Work with client to perform business process modeling activities to help operationally focused software implementations.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Previous BA experience, including requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with data management and data quality.
  • Experience working with the VA/VHA or other government agencies strongly preferred.
  • Strong facilitation skills, and solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong Excel skills, including familiarity working with a large dataset and getting useful insights out of it.
  • Strong relationship building between internal customers, vendors and employees.
  • Client-facing experience.

COMPENSATION
The position is full time and will include a base salary range of $80K – $90K, based on experience, and full benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, vacation, and 401(k) with company match.
